meal plan
I need some help creating a diet for myself. Those of you who are on diets, what do you eat? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack. Do you eat the same things everyday? What works best for you? I understand that we all are different body types, need different amounts of calories, etc. but I was just wondering. I am a 22 year old female. I weigh 120 lbs. and I am 5'4" just in case you were wondering...

You're 5'4", 120 lbs., and you're going on a diet? Why??
You don't need to loose any weight. You're height/weight is like ideal!
and why are you dieting? I am the same, just eat well balanced, you don't need to worry about dieting....seriously what is wrong with people
Maybe she doesn't mean she wants to go on a 'diet' per say, but that she wants to stay healthy.
Maybe she just needs help with keeping a well balanced meal plan...
be nice peeps!
Just answer the question, I am the exact same way. I'm 5'4", 120 Lbs and I'd like to tone up and be healthier. who cares
OP HERE. HAHAHA. YOU GUYS ARE FUNNY. THE REASON I WANT TO DIET IS JUST TO BE HEALTHIER AND YES TO TONE UP. I DON'T WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT. I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT. I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE JUST SAID THAT I WANT A HEALTHY DIET. I AM SICK OF EATING JUNK FOOD AND WANT A CHANGE. THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!
Don't eat junk food - eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
SORRY OP HERE AGAIN. ONE MORE THING I WANTED TO ADD. I MAY BE IDEAL HEIGHT AND WEIGHT WHATEVER BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I HAVE THE IDEAL BODY. I COULD HAVE VERY SMALL BOOBS AND A BIG WAIST/BUTT/THIGHS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO WORK ON. SO ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
A tip that I've always heard is to eat a big breakfast, medium lunch, and small dinner. Usually people do the opposite, but that's not what you should do. If you eat a big dinner, then it doesn't get burned off because you sleep all night long.
i think she is probably wanting to know what your plan looks like like breakfast is ______ lunch is ______ dinner is _______ and snack is ________. i think everyone knows what to eat like fruits, veggies, whole wheat but she probably needs some examples. am i right? sorry i don't have any advice because i'm not the best eater myself.
Well here are some snacks I like that are generally healthy:
*Cottage cheese with peaches (or grapes)
*Yogurt with strawberries/blueberries and healthy granola
*Homemade smoothies with my favorite fruits and lowfat yogurt
*Grilled chicken with steamed broccoli
*Wheat toast with homemade jam
*When cooking use whole grain pasta, olive oil, etc...
*Coke. (I'm kidding, coke is my only vice.)
I think it's important to decide to "eat better" as oppossed to saying "I'm going on a diet". That sounds like a short term thing- like you're gonna loose weight and then go off your diet. You just need to decide to eat sensibly. Eat healthy, low calorie, low fat, natural and fresh... always.
Okay, here's what my personal trainer taught me. Never starve your body, and don't eat tons of carbs. Spread your meals and be SMART when you do eat carbs. Here's what I eat & when. The more protein vs carb you get, the faster you will be able to tone your muscles (make sure you work out 30 minutes a day 3 times a week minimum...remember SOMETHING is better than nothing)
FOLLOW the SERVING sizes... yes, measure it.
7:30 am- A Fruit+ 3 boiled egg whites + oatmeal or cereal
10:00-Fruit
12:30 Meat+salad+fruit+ carbs (such as bread or pasta IF you are going to have any)
3:00- Snack (peanuts or jerky, string cheese.. remember the goal is protein, forget fat intake)
5-6- Meat+Veggies.... as many as you want, except potatoes (starchy carbs are in potatoes)
This is lots of food, but your paradigm has to change to understand that these are HEALTHY and not going to hurt you if you eat this much... You are eating lots, but these foods are GOOD for you and loaded with the correct nutrients to allow your body to absorb them without putting fat on your body or stripping muscle. Muscle is stripped by starving yourself. Your body burns muscle instead of fat. You'll be able to work out and have the protein in your diet help burn fat (because we ALL have fat) and build/tone muscle.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help! email me.
