I had something cut out of my leg on Tuesday and have three stitches there. Currently I have no band aid on it and it seems to be doing OK.
My questions is we are thinking of going to the beach (Oregon Coast) tomorrow. Do I need to be concerned about the sand or ocean water in regards to my stitches and everything healing ok? Advice? Thoughts?

Stitches need to be kept dry. You can buy a special clear band-aid type thing to put over it that will keep the water out. I'll try and remember what it's called - I got mine from the doc's office, but I think you can buy it over-the-counter.
I wouldn't let the water get on it.
