Temple dress
I am looking for a new temple dress. We live outside of Utah and our temple doesn't rent clothing, so I need to buy one since my current one doesn't fit. I've been looking around on line and the dresses are either not attractive or VERY expensive. I really don't want to spend more than about $50. Does anyone know of an online place to get attractive reasonably priced temple dresses. DH could also use a new pair of pants so if they sell those too, it would be bonus.

is there not a distribution center anywhere close to where you live?
You can buy clothing from the distribution center online, but still the cheapest dress they have is like 45 dollars. That's really not that expensive seeing as how long they last. You can also order your garments online too, alot more convenient than it used to be.
The dresses at the distribution center are about the cheapest, in my experience. They have men's pants too, just know you will have to be hemmed.

I think you will need your membership number and confirmation date to order. You can get this from your ward clerk, if you don't know it.
One more thing - if it's your first time buying a dress, tell them and you get it for 1/2 price. Same goes for any temple gear.
My friend actually bought a really cute Temple dress at the D.I. (But do they have Temple dresses outside of Utah?)
Aside from that, check the lds catalog like Deb said. When I bought mine, granted it was several years ago, it was $35.
Ooops, sorry, I meant to write "but do they have D.I.'s outside of Utah?" I know they do in Idaho... anyways!
We don't have a distribution center within 7 hours of us. I looked at the distrubtion center on line and the selection wasn't great. Perhaps I should sew one.

White Elegance has some really pretty dresses. But they are more expensive. I like their pretty white skirts, and you can find an inexpensive white shirt on sale at just about any department store.
There's also Dressed in White, but they are more expensive... can't you order one online through the Distribution Center and have it shipped directly to your house? I know the selection isn't the greatest, but their prices are a lot better than at White Elegance or Dressed in White. Also, you really can't see the dress anyways once you're weaing all the "attire" over it!

Op where do you live? How far away from the nearest temple. They nearly always have a little temple distribution center with the temple, especially out of state.
I got mine from Dressed in White and I love it!
Temple dresses aren't supposed to be about fashion... so I wouldn't worry if they aren't very attractive. I would find one online at ldstempledresses.com
