Okay so my 6 year old son lost his first tooth tonight! This is my oldest and first time acting as "Toothfairy"
What kind of things do you guys do for your kids?

My mom made the "tootfairy" really fun for us. What she would do is give us change instead of a dollar bill. We were young enough that we didn't know that 10 cents wasn't a lot, all we new was that we were getting lots of coins under our pillow! Also, she would disperse it throughout the day. We would wake up with a few coins under our pillow, and then throughout the day we would run back to our pillow to find a few more. It only lasted that one day, and I don't remember it being more than a dollar in change, but it was always really fun for us when we were little.
Our kids put their teeth in a special little drawstring bag and the "tooth fairy" takes the tooth and leaves a gold dollar coin. Our kids love getting their "gold money"!
I know of one family that the dad travels a lot out of country so he brings back foreign money and they give that to their kids from T.F.
I've done a pile of pennies, ya, it's like 20 cents but to a kid it is super exciting to get a pile instead of paper, and I always make sure the coins are shiney.
Hehehe, I know who you are! Just giving you a hard time. But, just to share it with everyone else who might be interested, I once bought at a boutique, a little saying that came with a bottle of glitter. I will have to find the saying, but the bottle of glitter was for you to sprinkle around their room and then on their pillow to make it look kind of like a fairy dust. I thought it was genius. Even though it will still be a while before my kids lose any teeth.
Alright. I know I should have just gone and found this before submitting my previous comment, but here it is anyway:
Little child, fast asleep, That kiss you felt was a kiss from me. Look beneath your little head, Your tooth I took, your treat I left. Tooth FairyLand loves your baby tooth, We've been waiting since it first came loose. Keep brushing those teeth all shiny and bright. When you lose the next one, I'll return in the night.
....and remember with fairy dust any dream can come true!
Your friend, the Tooth Fairy
*The package includes a website. It's www.giggles-n-wiggles.com Lehi, Utah (801)768-2358
