CAUTION: SEX QUESTION!!!

Do any of you have sex when you (or your wife) is on their period? I used to say no to my husband because I thought it would gross him out. We tried it and my husband loves it. I guess because it is wetter down there. We don't do it on my heavy days, but definitely on the other days. We just put a towel underneath me in case of spills. So yeah, do any of you do it?

If not, you should give it a try.

How Much???

My husband and I are having a disagreement and I need your advice. He thinks we don't have sex enough and I think we do it too much. We average about 2-3 times a week and that is fine with me but he says every other day!

So here are my questions.

How much is too much and how much is not enough?
How often do you guys average?

Is it as overrated as I think it is?

LASIK eye surgery

I am thinking about getting lasik eye surgery done and just thought I would ask a couple questions if any of you out there have done it...

1-Where did you get it done and when? (I'm looking for somewhere in Utah)
2-Did you get the PRK or Lasik and how much was it?
3-Would you recommend getting it?
4-How was the actual procedure and how long until you could see without glasses/contacts?
5-Have you since then had a baby and if so did it change your eyes?

And any other advice or help you can think of...?
Thanks it is appreciated!

Siblings

We were at a family party this weekend and found out that my husband's 2 brothers are planning a fishing trip to Alaska the end of this summer and are not inviting him. They were acting really strange and being very secretive. This made my husband feel bad. We don't have a lot of spare money but the invite would be nice. Ever since they started making money they've changed and have stopped inviting us to do things with them. I know they are not obligated to invite him but it makes me sad for him. I really want my husband to tell them off but he's too nice. Do you think he should? Do you always include all of your siblings if you invite one?

3rd New Baby

I'm having our third baby within a week or so.

So, my question is:

What was harder for people; None to 1 kid, 1 to 2 kids, or 2 to 3 kids?

I had no problem transitioning with my first two.  And honestly I'm really tired of hearing "Oh wait till number three comes along.  You are gonna be out numbered now, three is chaos, blah, blah, blah......"

So I want to know how others have handled it and what was harder for them.

I personally don't have the mentality that number three is going to overwhelm me.  I'm just not that type.

Any Hair Stylists Out There?

I like my hair curly--which means a new perm a couple of times a year. I've been getting it done the same way for years now with great success. However, last time the stylist had to use a different type of perm solution--the usual kind has been discontinued. Well the perm didn't take at all. My hair didn't end up even a tiny bit curlier than before. The stylist is going to redo it, but I'm nervous about redoing it too soon. I don't want to seriously damage my hair and end up with it looking just awful, falling out, or something horrible. It's in pretty good shape right now. The first perm didn't do hardly any damage and I had several inches cut off the same day so the ends are in good shape. So, I'd love to hear your advice? How long would you wait before re-perming? Thanks!

what do you think?

My sister just called with an interesting question and I was curious to hear what your thoughts are...

Here are the facts:
My sister and her husband are looking to purchase their first home. They like others want the most bang for their buck.
She called and told me about a house they are going to look at tonight for the first time. Like usual, I asked for the stats and she told me that it's in a great neighborhood where homes usually sale from the upper $200s to the mid $300s. The house they are looking at is going for about $175.
She proceeded to tell me the reason the house is priced so much less than the others is because the house has a little bit of history. Apparently, about 2 yrs ago a family was murdered there. She said that the mom took the life of her 2 children in their rooms and went to the master and killer her husband and then killed herself.

She wanted to know if after they look at it and if it fits their needs, should they consider buying it with it's history? She also wanted to know if I think people would be freaked too much to come over for visits.

What do you think? Would you consider a home with this history even if the price is amazing? If they purchased it, how long would they have to live there before they try to sale again? I can't imagine this would be a good house to live in for only 2 years and try to sale again...
Would you be too freaked to visit her?

POTTY TRAINING

I am about to begin potty training my 2 year old daughter, but I want to hear from YOU---

What's the best potty training method out there?

Enrichment group

Ok, I'm sure there are some really creative people who read this blog so I need your help:

I want to get more involved in my new ward and meet more people and so I've decided to start an enrichment group. I want it to be about learning all things domestic, sewing, cooking, crafting, organization, making jewelry, a place just for a lot of people to share the talents they have! I was thinking of calling it "domestic divas." Don't make fun - I know it sounds cheesy but kinda fun, too!

So... please tell me what groups you have in your ward that are like this, what activities you have done and things you have learned and what you have seen work and not work. Thanks!

Temple dress

I am looking for a new temple dress. We live outside of Utah and our temple doesn't rent clothing, so I need to buy one since my current one doesn't fit. I've been looking around on line and the dresses are either not attractive or VERY expensive. I really don't want to spend more than about $50. Does anyone know of an online place to get attractive reasonably priced temple dresses. DH could also use a new pair of pants so if they sell those too, it would be bonus.

Letting your kids play out side

On the "let it all out post" some one commented on parents not supervising their kids while outside. I was wondering do you let your kids play out side with out supervision?

I live in a wonderful neighbor hood. In fact it is in the top 3 safest city's in the U.S. A row of 5 house's all have kids my kids ages. They play outside with them from about 5 to 8 every night. In the beginning I was out side every minute. Then I realized all the other parents were watching too. The kids just go from one house to another. Who ever's house they are at, that parent watches them. I do go check in on them, about every 30 minutes. They all know were they can go and were they can play. They have never gone out of those boundaries.

I just sit back and think of everything I was doing when I was there age. I feel so bad kids are not allowed to be kids now day's. To much bad things happen in today's world and I know this. I do watch my kids and they do get into trouble when they do something wrong. But, at what point do you let them just be kids and not have other people think you are a bad mom?

I do not let my kids roam the neighbor hood so please do not get on to me for that.

Booby Husband

Okay so I know that sounds really mean. But lately when it comes to going to work, my husband reminds me a of a child trying to get out of school! He is fine all day on his days off. just his happy go lucky self. As sooon as it is time to go to work, he will start acting sick, grabbing his stomach and saying it hurts and pouting.

For example, yesterday he hung out with his friends all day. All grins and having a good time. As soon as everyone left he started moping, grabbing his stomach, and the later it got, the more dramatic he got.

He has not been to work for almost 3 weeks! and I have no clue what to do. He is our sole income. We have a little boy who is 3 and just found out we are expecting another little one.

The other thing that has been driving me nuts, is I have been having complications with this pregnancy and he will whine and cry whenever I ask him to help me out.

I just do not know what to do. I feel really alone.

If I try to talk to him, he starts in on the guilt trips or just gets angry and leaves.

Talent Show

For our family reunion, I am part of the group in charge of a family talent show. We will have about 50 people there and each family has been asked to participate. Just wondering if you have any ideas. We are looking for theme ideas (maybe based on a game or reality show) or anything else that you care to share.

Thanks in advance!

GET IT OUT

What is bugging you right now? Vent all you want, it's anonymous!
(Things that are bugging me:)
People wearing their shoes in my house.
My in-laws who use me as a free laundromat.
Smokers.
Hearing about Michael Jackson's death. Over. and Over. and Over again.
My sister who treats her dog like a spoiled child. Gimme a break.
Ok, now it's your turn!

Doctor Recommendations

I'm looking for a great OBGYN or preferably a Certified Nurse Midwife in the Salt Lake Valley. I'm already in my 3rd trimester so I need someone who can get me in quick. (Don't worry, I've been receiving medical care up until this point.) Thanks!

Michael Jackson has died

According to CNN and TMZ, Michael Jackson has died of cardiac arrest.

Thoughts?

I HAD SURGERY

Sorry to those of you who are sick of hearing about this, as it is a question directed as those who have had my surgery. I had a D&C hysteroscopy and a Dx Laparoscopy done at the end of April to try to correct my Endometriosis. Yes, it's me again...sorry.

Everything went great. I had a little rougher and longer recovery than most people, but I also had a LOT of damage in my uterus that needed to be taken out. My stitches are healed and everything looks good. I am now on continuous birth control, as we are not ready to have a baby yet. Everything seems okay except that I am cramping ALL THE TIME! It feels like I am on my first day of my period. It's awful, and the cramping comes at random times during the day...every day. And they are BAD cramps. Cramps that tense up my body and make me double over until they are gone..
To those of you who had this surgery (I know there are a couple of you), did this happen to you? Is it normal? I know I need to just go in and see my doctor, but I really don't want to pay him MORE MONEY to go in and have him tell me it's normal when I am already paying off the $2,000 I owe him for my surgery...

Any help or insight before I call him?

Too cheap?

The other day I was shopping and saw some Uno hand held electronic games on sale for $6.24 at Shopko. (Reg. price $24). I bought two thinking I would use them for future birthday parties that my 9 or 7 year old is invited to attend.

Because I only paid $6.24, is it too cheap? Do you think I would need to throw in another small gift?

Personally, I don't care what my kids get as birthday presents, as long as their friends come and have a good time . . . .

Pots and Pans

I know this question has been asked before but I didnt get the answers I want from looking back on that question. So... What kind of pots and pans are best i.e. hard anodized, stainless steele, copper, non-stick ect. I am a basic cook nothing fancy but want some pots and pans to last a long time. What brands do you like best, where should I shop what price should I pay. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Head Cold

Okay so I know that this is probably a lame question, but I need some info. I have had a head cold for 5 days or so and for the past three days one of my ears is plugged, really bad. I am currently taking a decongestant and it seems to be helping a little. But I still cannot unplug my right ear. So my question for you all, is have you ever used hydrogen peroxide to unplug a plugged ear? I have been reading about it and it is mostly used for when your ear is plugged by ear wax. Would it still work, even if the plugged ear is from a head cold? Or does anyone have any other ideas to help? Thanks!

Facebook

To all you Facebook addicts-

I have a question regarding the "suggested friends".

I'm curious to know how Facebook comes up with these. Most of the ones I see on there are people who went to my highschool, which is understandable, since I have my graduating school and year on my profile. BUT, how are all these other people on my "suggested friends" list? People that I knew years and years ago that I don't speak to EVER? Cousins that I never talk to? Someone that I used to work with?

The only thing I can think of is that maybe THEY have done a search on my name and Facebook thinks that maybe I would want to hook up with them if they were searching for me?

Anyone know how this works? I'm just very curious. I'm actually very shocked sometimes at who is on my list.

Attn Coupon Addicts:

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I am new to this blog and my computer is too slow to look through previous posts, so bare with me if it is repetitive. But I am interested in coupons but don't know where to start. Please help! Where do I start, how do I do it? Any tips are appreciated.
Thanks

Need Help Planning!

I really want to take my 2 kids to Disneyland ages 4 and 2 but I need help planning it all. My husband has put me in charge of it because he doesn't really want to go and says if I plan it all and find the money to do it then he will go. So does anyone have any tips on the best way to book hotels and get tickets? We would go to the park for two days and the beach for one. Any advice would be great!

I want a RE-DO!

I have been married for only 2 years...and here's what happened:

I searched for an awesome photographer. And I found one. I paid her a LOT of money to do our engagements, bridals, temple and reception pictures. I had had friends use her, and their pictures were INCREDIBLE so I wanted to hire her as well! My pictures...not so incredible. I feel like I got the shaft. I paid her a lot of money and I feel like she did not do anything close to her best work on our pictures. My bridals were pretty great, but our temple pictures and reception pictures...horrible. I feel like she half-assed her way through my wedding, but as she had already taken my pictures...obviously I had to pay her for them! Now I see more of her work, and it is flawless! What the?
Secondly...my hairdresser went out of town due to a family emergency (totally legit...I'm not complaining about her) the night before I got married and so my SISTER IN LAW who is a crappy hair dresser, did my hair and it was AWFUL!! Not to mention...I had my eyebrows waxed a few days ahead of time (which I do on a normal basis anyway) and the lady BURNED MY SKIN above my eyes!!!! So...needless to say, I look less than beautiful in my pictures.

My question is...would it be weird to have wedding pictures re-done? I really feel like we got screwed. I have found a very reputable photographer in Utah (I live in Idaho) and have given thought to emailing her and asking what kind of rate she would give us for a shoot? Is that tacky? My husband always says: "Oh honey stop it, you look amazing. Our pictures are fine!" But I am JUST. NOT. SATISFIED. and I have to look at these pictures for the rest of my life!!!

What do you think?

Adult Question -

When you are having sex and you are about to 'reach', do you yell anything or announce you are about to reach? My husband does and it is so annoying!

Went to the doc...

I've been sick for a bit now and finally went into the Doctor today (typically I kick things fast, but not this!). She thinks I have swine flu, so I went to get test. I am now completely freaked out and have to wait another day or two for the results!! I don't want to tell anyone either, because it is such a horrible taboo right now, and don't want to be forever labeled as 'the swine flu person'.

Is it really worse than the normal flu?? What should I do with my kids if I do have it? AHH! I know these are just silly questions, and I don't even know if I have it, but according to my doc, she says I have every symptom.

How does one ignore social castration from social clicks within the ward

I live in a well to do area in San Diego. I have been inactive for around ten years but have felt the urge to go back to church based on the testimony of the principals I know to be true, and for my family. How ever, I am finding it very depressing to see the social clicks that segregate individuals between the members. My wife recently was invited to attend a get together for a night of bunko with a large number of women from the ward. When she arrived home she was very dis trot due to the evenings events and discussions. She stated she felt as if she was applying for a sorority at a collage and was being judged on her worthiness to be let in by the group. She stated that she felt bad because of the way the women were talking about other women, that were not there and could not defend themselves based upon the accusations that were being thrown around. She did not understand the discussions about who had the best boob jobs, which person made the most money and who new who when it comes to knowing who. I guess my question is how does one ignore these things? And how does a husband help his wife who is a convert, balance the social and religious aspects of the church.

Breast pump

I'm due in a few weeks and need to get a breast pump. I plan on breast feeding for 6 months to a year, however, my job requires me to go in one (maybe two) days a week. So I will need a good automatic pump for those days. What pumps did you love/hate? Anything I should know? Is it worth it to get a double pump? If I'm going to spend that kind of money I want it to be a good, long lasting pump!

worried

As of today, I'm two weeks late on my period (YIKES!) I took a pregnancy test last Wednesday and it came back negative. What is going on? I went off of birth control last month because of some medical reasons, but was careful with my husband. I was pretty stressed at the beginning of this month but that has never stopped my period (it actually usually makes it start early). Have any of you just not had a period one month? Or received a false negative on a pregnancy test? I keep trying to tell myself that it's fine and I shouldn't worry but I want to know. If I am pregnant I want to start taking my vitamins/ eating healthier/ giving my baby a healthy start.

What is tackier . . . .

Okay, help me out here, girls. What is tackier - my ultra white legs in open toe shoes and a skirt or wearing nylons with open toe shoes and a skirt? No fair saying both.

cry baby

The previous question about bad movies got me thinking...

I am such a cry baby. Every movie makes me cry. I am so emotional that when I watch someone struggle or experience pain, I BAWL. Is anyone else like this?

I wanna know what movies made you cry...even embarassing ones.

I'll start...
1. The Lion King
2. The Wizard of Oz
3. Homeward Bound AND
4. Titanic (and not because of Leo..its because of the REAL EVENT that I get weepy)

Movie?

I have seen a lot of bad movies in my life. What is the worst movie you have ever seen? What movie do you really hate?

Why are women so mean?

I'll admit it. Most of my friends are male, and the few women friends I have are similar to me - as in, they usually have more male friends than women. I'm a feminist, but I am so tired of the bs that women put each other through. To wit - if I'm friends with your husband/boyfriend, I'm not after him, I swear. I'm happily partnered and have been for 11+ years. Get over it.

I guess I don't understand this kind of inherent jealousy. I try to make you (the wife; the girlfriend of my male friend) comfortable and at ease, but it never works. You size me up and talk sh*t about me later (I know - I hear about it), and I'm at a loss. What did I do to offend you so? Yes, I'd rather talk to the men in the group than the women. So what? You'd rather talk to the women in the group than the men. I still make an effort to speak to you, and to take an interest in your life, which is more than you've done for me. We just have different interests, but why do you see me as a threat... unless there's already something wrong in your relationship?

Of course, this makes me less likely to hang out with you the next time I see you. I'd rather sit with your husband/boyfriend/whatever, talking about baseball, MMA, beer, politics, or whatever. But I'd like to know - what makes you so mean?

Breastfeeding questions!

Hey all! I need some help! I had my first baby three weeks ago. Breastfeeding has been very challenging for me but I'm determined to stick with it. We've got latch and positioning down but now I've noticed that my right breast is much larger than my left breast and I'm worried that my left breast is not producing enough milk. This brings me to my three questions:

Is having one breast larger during breastfeeding normal (mine are about a full cup size different!)?

Will they go back to being even after weaning?

What can I do to get them even while breastfeeding?

Thanks for all your help! Any other breastfeeding tips you may have for me would be GREATLY appreciated!

SVU vs Minivan

Would you prefer to drive a SVU or a Minivan? What are you reasons for one over the other?

I happen to be a fan of the Honda Odyssey and am thinking about getting one that's a couple years old. My boys are in sports and I need to do school car pooling and I just don't have enough room in my car.
I told my SIL this and she said that when a mom owns a minivan it's like saying 'I give up'! If I buy one 'I should just start using a Winni the poo diaper bag as my purse.' (I love her dearly and it didn't hurt my feelings.) But it really got me thinking, what are your reasons for liking one over the other? Do you thinking owning a van is like saying I give up? Cause I don't, I'm almost 30, mom to 2 little boys, really active and love to hang with friends and stuff.

Just a few of my reasons for wanting a minivan (over a SUV) are:
- push one button and the doors open and kids can get in on their own
- the doors slide back, no more worries about hitting the car next to you
- captain seats allow for easy getting in, no moving seats to get in the back
- drives like a car (at least the ones I've been test driving)....

Face Cards

Okay, I've always thought this was weird, so I want to hear some other opinions....

My in-laws are LDS and don't allow face cards in their home. I guess I don't get it? Why? There are many fun games where you need face cards to play. Does it have to do with gambling? Gambling is the wagering of money or something of material value. So, if you're not playing for money, it's not gambling. So, I don't get it? Anyone else heard of this?

Cheap Dyson?

I really want to buy a new vacuum, and I've heard that Dysons are the best. The cheapest one I have found is at Home Depot for $399! I'm trying to sell some stuff I have to earn that money in case I can't find anything cheaper. But I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a cheaper place to find one?? Or any way to save money on one? I'm sure its worth every penny. Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks!

Sheets and Shtuff

This question is a bit of a snoozer, (no pun was intended) but I really want some feedback so be nice and answer.

Do you have a "mattress protector sheet"? Does it come off a lot? I ask because the first one I had came off all the time, and then it would get all bunchy under the fitted sheet, so I thought it was defective and bought a new one, different brand. Well, this one does the same thing. So annoying.

Also to make this a little more interesting to read to all of you, also I'm wondering how often you remove and wash your bed sheets.

What Do You Do on the Weekend?

I was talking to a friend the other day and mentioned that we like to play games on the weekends. I named off quite a few games. My friend hadn't heard of any of them. She said all they do the weekend is drink. lol.

What do you do on the weekend? If you play games, what are your favorite games to play?

Can you swim?

I'm an adult in my early 30s, and I can't swim. Have any of you taken swimming lessons as an adult and had success?

Interaction time

I am really curious how much time mom's spend actually interacting with their kids. I try to interact/play with my little boy for at least an hour or 2 each day. Is that the norm, not nearly enough time, or a lot of time? I have no idea, but I do know that if I'm doing something for myself such as reading a book, or on the internet, etc. while he's awake, I feel really guilty, like I should be spending that time with him and do the "me" stuff only while he's sleeping. This doesn't count cleaning and cooking of course, I know I need to spend some time doing that while he's awake. But anyway, just curious.

Porn??

A quick question, there have been alot of comments from people watching porn with their husbands. Am I just naive or is watching porn with your husband as common as passing the salt? How many people really watch it? Does it really do anything for you? Are you not a little worried that you or your husband will become addicted to it or rely on it? How is porn so easily available? Are you guys buying this at Wal-Mart?? ha ha

perfume

What is your all time favorite perfume? I am in need of something new. Where do you buy it at?

To get a puppy or not

We've been thinking about getting a dog for a year or two now and keep going back and forth on it. Our kids really want a dog. We have other pets and they do help out with them, but I'm wondering if I'm up for it.

So here's my question: Has anyone gotten a dog and then regretted it? Thanks for any information or stories.

I can hear my pulse

In my right ear, I can hear my pulse! It just started a day or two ago and it is driving me NUTS! Its just in my right ear. If I turn my head all the way to the right, it stops. What is this? Has anyone else ever had this? Will it go away? Should I go to an audiologist?

ADULT CONTENT!!!!

okay, this is kind of gross, but I need to ask. How many of you  women out there let your husband " do you in the butt?" I for one am not one who is down for that, and have never tried it, but I kind of got the impression the other night during sex that my husband wanted to and it kind of freaked me out. Any thoughts.

Google Search

How do you find out what people are searching for before they find your website? I hear all the time how people are amazed that someone would do a google search on "big hairy blob" (or some other weird phrase) and wind up at their website/blog.

If I wanted to check how people are arriving on my website, or what they're searching for, how do I do that?

To go on Clomide or Not

So we have been trying to get pregnant with our 3rd child for six months and I am starting to get a little frustrated. I know it can take this long and it took at least this long to get pregnant with my other two kids but the fact is I don't want to wait any longer. I have an apt with my doctor next week to discuss going on a low dose of clomide. My periods have been really irregular each month and that's not normal for me. I did have an IUD in for 18 months but had it removed 6 months ago. My husband says I can do whatever I feel I need to but I am just wondering if I am overreacting? Has anyone been on Clomide and regretted it? I know taking Clomide isn't a cure all but if it will help me get pregnant faster then I don't want to wait however many more months to get pregnant without it. Any thoughts about this?

Money

I usually only carry around $20 in my wallet just incase I lose my purse, or it get's stolen. I can always cancel my cards but money is gone. Today I was stuck at the grocery store with no money, no debit card (they wouldn't take credit) and they wouldn't accept my out of state check. A stranger bought my groceries ($65) and would not let me pay him back. He told me he's been asking God for an opportunity to help someone. So sweet, but so embarrassing for me!

How much cash do you carry in your wallet or purse?

RSS Feed?

I'm not sure if this is what's it called, cause I'm kind of a newbie to this blogging world.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with info on how to get all the blogs that I read in one place somehow. That doesn't really make sense. Let me try again...

I'd like to be able to go somewhere, ONE place, and see if certain bloggers have updated their blog/published something new, rather than go to each one of their websites only to be disappointed that they haven't updated yet.

Does this make sense?

I have "My Yahoo" with some blogs on there, but some people make it easy with a little "My Yahoo" button on the sidebar. You simply click on it and add it to your page. What if the blog doesn't have any such thing? Is there a way to still add it? Or is there something else I can use for all of them?

Thanks so much for your help!

LDS Bishop being a student?

My Bishop was recently released "because" he is going to law school in the fall. The Stake President told me it is in the handbook that a Bishop cannot be a student, but it just seems a little strange when our Bishop has offended one too many people (I am not one of them, just FYI. He's young and has made mistakes, but he's human like the rest of us! He's helped me a lot, so I hate when people say bad things about him). I've also heard of many people being in med school or something else while being a Bishop, so it must be a new Church policy. Any thoughts?

Father's Day gift from spouse...adult

This is an adult topic, so please do not proceed if offended.

I have heard father's day referred to as, "Bl*w J*b and Steak" day. This of course implies that dad is somehow entitled to two of his favorite pastimes.

For women: Do you feel an expectation to feed your husbands two appetites on father's day with anything "special", and if so, what?

For men: Do you expect the same from your spouse?

why?

why does it feel so good when you know you are doing something bad? whenever i do something i know i shouldnt be doing i get such a rush! i love it! does anyone else get that? whats the deal? if we were supposed to be good wouldnt we feel as good being good?

ew...odor

If you don't want to read a question about sex, leave now...

My husband and I always use condoms because we really are not wanting a baby right now. Once in a while, we don't use one just because we don't feel like it or we get caught up in the moment and yadda yadda...

Anyway, I have noticed that when we don't use one, I have a VERY disgusting odor for like...a week. Every time I pee, it smells SO BAD! I know that is like...revolting...but what the crap? It's grossing me out.

What can I do? Does this happen to anyone else?
Help.

Creative dinner tonight

I'm a boring person! I always make the same things for my hubby for dinner. Any ideas on what I can make tonight that doesn't take FOREVER, but would be fun and new? The more the merrier, I want to get a list so I'm not so boring!!!

BE HONEST...

Do you pick your nose? If so, what do you do with the boogers? Be honest - it's anonymous so here's your chance!

SAHM Question

This question is directed to stay at home moms. What kind of income and career did you give up when you decided to stay home? Or, what career and money would you be making if you went back to work?

Just curious...

when to have kids

How did you and your spouse decide it was time to have kids? My husband and I love kids and would both really like to start a family but when we talk about it and start thinking deeper into things, we both get really nervous and talk ourselves out of it. We start thinking things like babysitter costs, who would watch our kids if I couldnt stay home with them, dr. bills, and everything else that goes along with having a family.
Is this normal? Did you ever feel 100% confident with your decision to have a baby?

Babies 21 Months Apart

I just found out that I am pregnant with my second, which will put my kids 21 months apart. This was NOT planned and am really having a hard time with the idea. I somewhat feel like I am stealing part of my little girl's babyhood by making her a big sister before she is even two. Did anybody else feel this way? On top of it, I am really worried about how things are going to be after the baby is born. Was it as bad as you thought it was going to be? HELP!!

Church Etiquette

Do you think it is ok for little girls to wear hats to church? I have a crochet beanie that matches my daughters dress really well, and she looks so cute in it, but I don't know if it is appropriate for her to wear to church. What do you think?

**Super super personal question** BEWARE

This is a very personal question regarding female orgasm. If you're uncomfortable with such things, stop reading now. Don't come with the rude comments, just stop reading.

If you're still reading, you must not be uncomfortable discussing such topics.

My husband and I were watching porn the other night, which we enjoy doing every so often. When the girl came I totally freaked out. She gushed, and I mean gushed liquid to the point where it splashed and totally soaked the sheet. And then she continued to come over and over again and each time, the same thing. It wasn't as much liquid as the first time, but still a lot.

I have never seen something like that and was wondering how many of you do that?

Am I abnormal because I don't? I don't secrete anything. The guy who was filming it was a bit surprised, but turned on by it. It totally grossed me and my man out.

So my question is how many DO do that and how many DON'T. And also? Are you able to climax over and over again in one sitting?

Female question (men...you may not want to read this)

I was wondering how many women out there shave everything, and I mean everything, down south (if you know what I mean), and how often? I'm wondering because I shave everything, but I'm really coarse down there, so I can only shave once every few weeks, which is pretty frustrating. And even still I get a lot of red bumps and ingrown hairs. It's pretty miserable. Does anybody else have this problem? If so, what do you do about it?

Bed and Breakfast

My husband and I are going to a bed and breakfst for a little over night getaway. We are really excited but we have never been to a b&b before and don't really know what to expect. Has anyone ever stayed at a b&b? Was it a good experiance? Any suggestions about getting the most out of our stay?

digi scrapping

So I want to do my scrapbooking digitally. Can anyone give me the digi scrapping for dummies version of how to get started.... which type of photo shop to use, where you get your paper.. where to print the pages once your done?! Thanks!

Organizing/Cleaning service in Utah County

I am trying to find a service (or services) I can hire to go to my in-law's home in Lehi, Utah and help them get rid of their clutter and DEEP CLEAN their home! They have so much stuff packed into a tiny space, it is stifling! They are pack rats and don't really clean much (we went to visit this week and their living room still has boxes of Christmas decorations in it!) and I just can't stand it. I think its very unhealthy for them, too. Its to the point now that I can't just hire a service to clean, but I need to get their junk organized and sorted out FIRST, then a deep clean, then I can see about getting a maid to go in once a week and tidy things up. I just want to help them and this is the best way I can think of to get them on the right track.

To give you a good idea of what their home is like inside, they would be prime candidates for that "Clean House" show on the Style Network, but I called the show and emailed and was told they only do homes in Southern California right now. So, ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated, THANKS!

lights on only

Our son is 23 months old has developed a sleeping habit of insisting on all the lights be on in his room before he falls asleep.

He is also beginning to wake up earlier than normal. He used to sleep from 7:30 to roughly 7:30, but now it is more like 8pm to 6am.

Any suggestions about either issue

Best dessert/treat

What is your favorite dessert/treat? I am having a dessert party and need ideas. If you really love me you will include recipes and or links to recipes

Fathers day ideas

I NEED good fathers day gift ideas. For a parent and for a husband. nothing to expensive or extravagant

Babysitter pay

How much do you guys pay babysitters? We have 1 son who is 2 and a half. We usually pay our babysitter like $10 for a 4 to 5 hour night. Are we being cheap? We are having a new girl babysit this weekend, but it is only for 2 hours (and we are taking our son to her house). She is in the ward, so I just want to make sure we are paying what we should be, $2 to $3 an hour.

San Diego Advice!

I have never been to San Diego, but my husband and I are driving out there for a week in a couple days. This is our last vacation for a while, as we are expecting twins in four months. :)

We are looking for any recommendations of places to see, things to do, restaurants to hit, etc..in the San Diego area.

Also, what beaches did you love?

Any advice is appreciated!

Why do you blog?

What are your top three reasons for blogging? I realize that some readers do not have their own blogs, but for everyone else, what inspired you to blog? Do you ever blog lurk/ stalk?

I am just curious because I find other people's lives interesting. If someone says some restaurant, movie or food, etc. is fantastic, I like to find out why, or if I like it myself. I know this might sound absurd, but I just find it all interesting. My favorite class in High school was Sociology. Merriam-Webster defines sociology as: the science of society, social institutions, and social relationships ; specifically : the systematic study of the development, structure, interaction, and collective behavior of organized groups of human beings.

I am a stay at home Mom, but if I had to work, I would love to find a career that has something to do with sociology. Okay, so there's enough background for ya, so Why Do You Blog?

Oh, my three reasons are:
1- My Children and their children and so on.
2- It's my journal. The only one I've stuck with.
3- To keep in touch with distant family and friends.

Seattle, Washington

So my husband and I are considering moving to the Seattle, Washington area. We currently live in a place where it is hot, ugly, and isn't very family friendly. My family is also living where we currently live however my husbands family lives in a neighboring state. So if we were to move we would only know a couple of families, but other then that it would be a whole new life. Does anyone live in Seattle where you could give me your opinion. I know it rains a lot and it is cloudy everyday except about 55 days, but it is BEAUTIFUL and I love the rain. Are there any areas where you would recommend to live in or stay away from? Thanks?

Ward Parties

I am our ward activity chair. We have a HUGE ward with a very large primary (over 150 active children). I am always trying to find activities that will be fun for all ages.

What have been some activities that you have loved, and what were some that didn't go over so well.

Thanks~

Cradle cap

My daughter is 13 1/2 months old. Her hair is getting longer (finally), and filling in on top and on the sides more. It's finally long enough all around that I could probably start putting it in ponytails, but I don't want to. When I pull it up, you can see underneath that she still has pretty bad cradle cap. Is that normal for this old? Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Following a Blog

I have noticed a lot of people have the "followers" gadget on their blog. What does it mean to follow someone? I know how to do it (just click the follow button!) but my question is, why do it? What's the difference between following someone and just checking their blog everytime they update?

Inactive Returning to Church

I have been thinking of returning to Church. My only obstacle is that my husband doesn't support me. Does anyone have any advice on how to make it work when you and your spouse don't see eye to eye on religion? Do you think in order to have a good marriage you have have religion in common? I'm afraid that this is such a big step if I don't have my husband by my side that I'll fall back into old habits. But really, I've been so depressed lately that the only thing I find comfort in is praying silently and knowing there is something divine out there which is greater than me and my problems.

Going to Denver

My husband and I are going to Denver for 3 days.  Neither of us have ever been there before and will be there on business.  We'll be able to go sight see after 5:00 each day.  Any recommendations on what to see or where to go?  ( We will actually be in Aurora I guess)

Trip with a 1 year old

I'm planning on taking a trip with my 19 month old and he is pretty active. I don't know that he'll - or I should say I will - survive a 3 hour flight without some extra entertainment. So my question is, does anyone have any ideas? What seems to work for you? I'm even willing to put a few buck in for this... he really is a great traveller, but will be such a wiggle worm since he'll be sitting on my lap. Thanks in advance!!!

Apple Tree

Anyone know anything about pruning an apple tree?

I recently moved into a house that has three very little apple trees. I don't know the first thing to do. I've googled it, but it seems I can only find info on mature or neglected trees which is not what I have.

Mine are small with very droopy branches. Do I cut them half way off or just trim the ends? I don't know what to do!

I'm not even interested in fruit at this point, I just want to see the tree grow and get healthy.

We're talking skinny, 5-foot trees with very few branches.

Please help!

Tile cleaner

I have dark tile in my shower and currently live in a city with HARD water. Do you guys know what kind of cleaner to use? And, do you need to seal it afterward?

It looks good when wet, but when it dries, it's all white and so ugly.

What's your most embarassing moment?

Graduation Gift

I received a graduation announcement from a girl in my old ward (we taught her Sunday School class). I was thinking of sending $10, my husband thinks I'm being chinsy and says send $20. What do you think is okay?
By the way, we live on student loans and we probably won't ever see this girl again.

Anniversary

Who plans your wedding anniversary in your marriage?

My anniversary is next week, and my husband hasn't really suggested anything yet. I feel that if I suggest it first, it would be me who initiated or thought to plan anything. I feel that if I didn't say anything at all, he would either not plan anything, or wait til the last minute. But I also feel that the man has a lot of responsibility already in making sure Valentines Day is taken care of as well as Mother's Day. There are so many days dedicated to making sure the man makes the woman feel special.

I guess the end all answer to this that would make me feel better is if my husband were to bring it up on his own, in enough advance so that it's not last minute. I'm all for us planning it together. But I dunno. What do you do?

College Grants

I'm looking into going back to college and would most definitely qualify for some type of grant, but I don't even know where to start. Does anybody know of any trustworthy companies (or whatever you want to call them) I can go through?

because i love him

What would be a good appropriate/thoughtful/sweet thing to send to my husband during the day...like at work or something? Or even just to leave waiting fo rhim on the coffee table when he gets off if I'm going to be gone... I just want to send him something during the day to let him know I was thinking about him.

I can't exactly send him flowers like he would me...that's weird. What would you do?
I usually leave him little cards and notes at home...so I need a new idea. Is there anything else? I can't think of anything that's not totally strange.

Weird question, I know. But guys...I want your input too!

The Bachelorette

I'm the type who doesn't care for cheesy romance, so I am usually watching things like 24, LOST, House.
Well for my first time I am watching "The Bachelorette" and I feel quite obsessed. I have watched all 3 episodes without interruption.
My question is 2-fold. Are all of the past seasons of Bachelor/Bachellorette pretty similar, or is this one different?
And secondly, who are your faves and who can't you stand(the men)?

Bridal Shower Invitations

I am throwing a bridal shower for my best friend and I am just starting to shop for the invitations. I went over to Hallmark today, thinking I would for sure find something nice there, but there was nothing! Where else should I go? I was thinking of checking Target, but if that doesn't pan out, do you have any good suggestiong? I want to buy the kind you run through the computer, and I just want them to be really cute. Thanks! :)

Oh- I live in SLC (Sugarhouse) if that makes a difference :)

ovulating

How do you know when you are ovulating. I've heard its around the 14th day but are there any signs to look for? My cycle is generally 28-30 days.

My tub is GROSS

I have a tub that COULD be white if if wasn't so dirty.  If I sit there and scrub a 2 inch patch of the tube for about 2 hours I can finally start to see the white.  We moved into our house this way and it makes me sick!  I only shower because of it.

What can I use to cut through the crap quickly so I can see what my tub is REALLY supposed to look like?  Please note that I don't have 10 hours to scrub my tub.

Do you know of . . .

. . . .a blog similar to this blog, but for women over 30? I love this blog, but I am in my mid-30s, married almost 15 years with a small family. A lot of this stuff I just can't relate to anymore. sniff, sniff. It's entertaining, but I'm wondering if there is a blog out there for women in my stage of life. NOT that I don't love all you perky 20-somethings!! ;)

I'm about to go drink some dishsoap..

OKAY I am going insane. I CANNOT get my husband to help out around the house. I know that this has been asked maybe a few times, but I can't find where.

Here's the situation:

I work everyday to pay our bills. He goes to school and works three days a week. Well, school is out for the summer and I still work full time and he still works three days a week. So on days he is off, he sits at home and plays video games, goes to the gym, hangs out with his deadbeat friend who HAS no job, bums around the house, goes shopping, and who knows what! He would honestly let dishes sit in the sink for a week if I was too busy to get to them! We have talked and talked and talked about it! We have no kids, so there really are no huge messes. Its stuff like laundry, dishes, cleaning the bathroom...and I cannot get him to do ANY OF IT while I am working! Nothing!
I have found that the only way to get him to do anything is to stomp around and silently do everything myself so that he feels guilty. That sounds manipulating, I know, but if I don't, he does NOT see that things need to get done!
Also, if I ask him in advance to maybe get the kitchen cleaned and a few loads of laundry done while I'm working, he will piss and moan about how that's all I ever ask him to do and that's all I ever care about...and we never get to do anything fun because all I ever want to do is clean in our spare time...blah blah. WELL HELLO!!! I work all the time so yeah...if he's not doing anything while I'm away from home, then DUH I'm going to need to clean my house in my free time. No?

I'm sorry, am I the only person who likes to have a clean, fresh smelling home? I don't get it. Is this a guy thing, or is it just my husband? Is there anything I can do to get him to make some kind of change and help me out?
I feel like I am expected to do EVERYTHING! Make the money, pay the bills, cook the meals, do the laundry, scrub the bathroom, wash the dishes, and uphold my church callings! On top of that...how am I supposed to have a social life and see my friends or family in any free time? I went home for my lunch break today and I cleaned the kitchen while he watched TV...ON MY LUNCH BREAK!
He seems perfectly content with inviting people to our home when it is unclean. I HATE IT!!

Can someone help me understand or deal with this?

Doll Collections

Do any of you collect Dolls? If so, what artists? I'm just wondering because I have a friend who has this huge collection of porcelain dolls with various artists that she said are famous in the "doll world".

Guilty Pleasure T.V. Show

Do any of you have a t.v. show that you love to watch but wouldn't exactly go running around broadcasting it because it's so "stupid" or "lame?" But you still enjoy it anyways and look forward to it all week?

I do - my guilty pleasure t.v. show is "Greek" on Monday nights on ABC Family. I'll admit, I look forward to it all week! I love it!

Sloooooow blog help

I don't know why, but this blog site is REALLY slow when I get on it. I don't think it is my computer's slowness because this is the only site that acts like molasses. Anyone else have this issue and how do you fix this? Is it all the advertising on the side that makes it slow or what? Any tips on how to speed up when cruising this site would be very appreciated.

Blog Stalker & Comments (or lack of...)

Here is my issue (and I'm kind of laughing as I type this, but it is for real and I want to know what you all think). I have this "friend" who I have been "friends" with for a long time. She and I have a lot of mutual friends. The reason why I put friend in "" is because she's not a very good one. Anyways. She and I, and a lot of our other friends, all have blogs. She never never never comments on mine, although she reads it 1-2 times a day BUT she always leaves comments on our other friends' blogs.

No, my feeling aren't hurt. At the risk of sounding like a stuck-up snob, this girl is completely jealous of me and my life and my children etc. etc. etc. She kind of strives to be me, it's hilarious, everyone knows it and it's a running joke among my friends and I (not when she's around, of course. She's kind of the least favorite of the group anyways).

So, here's my question, now that you have the background: I said she never leaves comments on my blog, but it's just my personality to be the "bigger person" and so every single time she writes a new blog post I always always leave a comment on her blog (she's a lame blogger, by the way. She tries to be witty but it never works). Also, a part of me is hoping to annoy the snot out of her by being the bigger/nicer/better person.

Do you think I'm doing the "right" thing? What is more "annoying" of me (in a good way) - leave nice/interested comments on her blog or should I just stop commenting all together? Remember - the goal is for me to get completely under her skin in an unassuming innocent way and annoy the trash out of her because I'm so much nicer and a bigger person that she will ever be!

So... what would you do?

Thanks... I realize this "question" sounds like a joke, but it is real, as juvenile as it may sound...

Sharing Time

HELP! I JUST found out that I'm expected to do Sharing time this coming Sunday. We have a HUGE primary. I only have to do it for the Junior primary because I'm one of the sunbeam teachers. (told you it was huge)

Anyway, my topic is something like Having Faith in Jesus Christ Can Strengthen My Family. I hate to do something that needs volunteers because it's just impossible to let EVERYBODY help and I know kids that just get devastated when they don't get picked. I would love something that I could have just my class of 5 kids each get a hand in, but I have wracked my brain and can't come up with ANYTHING. I checked Sugardoodle.net and just didn't find it helpful unless I'm looking in the wrong place. Suggestions? Anything? Please??

Boppy vs. My Brest Friend

I am expecting my first child this month and have heard a lot of moms say how much they love their boppy pillow. I was about to buy one, but I checked out some reviews on Amazon and a lot of people seem to like my brest friend better.

Has anyone used both? Or do you have an opinion on one or the other?

COLD/FLU?

I have a cold slash flu that has not gone away for a week. Runny nose, chest congestion, sore throat, ridiculous amounts of coughing, fever, headache, and I'm SO TIRED all the time. I had a family member pass away and I sorta chalked it up to all the crying and stuff I did last week during funeral preparation and burial and stuff, plus allergies...but it hasn't gotten any better and I've been dealing with it since last Tuesday. Is it normal for a head cold to last this long?

Everyone at work keeps saying I have symptoms of swine flu...what the crap? Is that possible? I havent been vomiting or had diarrhea, so...who knows? But my cough is HORRENDOUS!

Is it totally off base to be checked for swine flu? Or do I work with a bunch of paranoid overreacting mommies?

Nuva Ring

So question for all you Nuva Ring users, or people that know someone that has used it... have any of you heard/had problems getting pregnant after going off the Nuva Ring? I have been on it for about 5 - 6 months (just got married) and I haven't had any super bad symptoms, other than a few headaches, and being more sensitive... but I have heard that once off the NR it is harder to get pregnant and a lot of women it has taken like a year to get prego afterwards. I don't want problems like that (I know there are a lot of things that can happen that would make it hard to get pregnant, and for those women it might not just be that they were on NR). I am 25 and don't want to wait too long to start a family so my husband and I were thinking maybe around December/January we would try. If it is true that it is harder to get prego after NR I will probably get off now, and try something else (low dosage YAZ maybe??) I just want some advice from someone that might have had a good/bad experience with the NR (or any other type of BC) Thanks for listening!

Lack of Love

I have been married for two and a half years now. Things have been pretty bumpy and rough, but I love my husband so much, and I figure a bumpy ride is to be expected at the beginning. Last night my husband told me he has not been happy since we got married. He said he has hard time loving me, and there is a cold hard spot in his heart where I am concerned. Again, I love him with all my heart. What did I do wrong? What can I do to fix things? We have a darling little boy, and another on the way and a temple marriage, so splitting up is not an option.

Blog Stocking....

Besides your friends and family, what blogs do you follow or look at regularly? What types do you look at the most? Photography, crafting, blog stores, etc..... I look at give away today, chasing cheerios, and some others....

Hair

So is there anything I can do to make my hair grow faster? Like pills, or something I can put on it. Stupid me keeps going to no good hair dressers, and every time I do they're all "I need to cut 2 inches off the bottom" or "your hair is so thick, I need to chop into that". NO NO NO! Why do hair dressers want to cut off long hair??? Now I'm left with hair that is 2-3 inches shorter than I want with all kinds of stupid short layers in it. I have finally learned to stand up for what I want and say "NO! I don't want you to cut 2 inches off of my hair. I don't want short layers all over the place! Maybe I like long thick hair."So, I want it to grow back out and have the long thick hair I had before. Any tips on how to do that a little quicker?

Stupid hair dressers.
