If you block someone on facebook does it block them from seeing everything you do, like your profile etc, or does it just block you from seeing them? I have someone blocked (for good reason that I won't go in to) and I notice that I don't see them listed on my friends' friends lists or if I search their name they don't come up. But would I come up if they searched me?
This is probably a stupid question but I'm new to facebook so I don't know.

Not sure what you mean by blocked exactly. I have people on my list "hidden" but they are still my fb friend and I can still view their profile and everything...
I'm not sure, but you can edit your security settings to make only certain things visible when someone searches you.
It depends if they are "hidden" or "defriended". If they are hidden, you can't see them, but they can see you. If they are defriended, you are no longer friends with them and they can't see you unless your security settings allow non-friends from seeing your profile.
To check and see if they are "hidden", go to the bottom of your page, click on "Edit Options". A list of the hidden people will show up there.
They aren't hidden or defriended, I went to settings and put them on my "blocked" list.
If you block them, they can't see anything about you. If you have friends in common, you won't appear on any of their pages. It's as if (to them) you disappeared. You won't come up if they search for you.
Thank you Deb, that's what I wanted to know!
I too have blocked someone of FB, and it makes it so they can't search for you or see anything you do. I think you should be able to see them though, if you do a search. As a percaution though, I have all my FB settings (wall posts, info, photos, etc.) set so only friends can see it.
You can also customize who gets to see your pics, etc. Say you have a pic that you wouldn't want your mama to see (lol). You can customize the settings not to let her see it.
